Galilee Goddess and Neopagan Itineraries – Day Tours

Astrological Tour – Astrology in Judaism, Paganism, Christianity

Astrology plays a significant role in Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, echoing the beliefs of ancient cultures like the Egyptians, Romans, Babylonians, and Persians. These cultures, which once governed Israel, integrated astrology deeply into their societies. This tour explores astrology’s impact on these religions and its presence in ancient synagogues, Christian symbology, and Islamic architecture.

Israel, viewed astrologically as a microcosm of the universe, is divided into 12 areas corresponding to the astrological signs and the 12 Israeli tribes. Our journey begins at the ancient Bet Alpha synagogue, where a stunning 1,600-year-old zodiac mosaic is found. We’ll delve into astrology’s significance in Judaism and its connection to the 12 tribes and the high priest’s breastplate.

From Bet Alpha, we visit a Zen garden maintained by the Japanese Christian Makoia sect, discussing the four elements’ representation in Zen, Christian symbolism, and astrology. Next, we explore Bet Shean, a well-preserved Roman city, discussing Roman gods, astrology as the empire’s official religion, and the city’s historical layers.

Concluding at Tiberius’s old synagogue with another zodiac mosaic, the tour offers personalized astrological charts with interpretations for participants providing their birth details in advance. The itinerary may adjust to include other significant sites.

Stone Circles and Giants – Megalithic Tour of Israel

Israel is considered the cradle of European megalithic cultures, with the Golan Heights hosting the world’s earliest stone circle. This tour visits Rujum Hiri and explores Gamla nature reserve’s megalithic tombs, canyons, waterfalls, and historical sites.

From Gamla, we journey to Nimrod Castle, believed by locals to have been built by the biblical giant Nimrod. The fortress, however, was constructed by Mamluk ruler Bibars as a defense against Mongol invasions. The tour showcases the Golan Heights’ unique geology and offers an option to ascend Mount Hermon by cable car.

The Goddesses – From Great Mother to Great Father

This tour examines the pivotal shift from matriarchal to patriarchal societies and from worship of the Great Mother to the Great Father, a transformation evident in Israel’s archaeology and biblical narratives.

Starting at Megiddo, the site reflects this religious and societal transition, highlighting the goddess cult’s evolution. We then move to biblical Ezreel and conclude at Mount Muhraka, the site of the prophet Elijah’s showdown with the goddess worshippers. This journey through ancient cities and biblical stories offers insight into one of history’s most significant ideological shifts.
