Description
On this distinctive journey, we’ll uncover the remnants of ancient settlements and sacred sites dedicated to the Goddess, found in the fertile valleys along the Danube and within the Balkan Mountains. Our exploration will take us through the Iron Gates Canyon, hailed as the river’s most stunning segment, where it winds for 100 kilometers between the Carpathian and Balkan Mountains, crafting a majestic, forest-clad canyon.
We’ll venture into the picturesque valleys of southern Serbia, visit megalithic sites, and immerse ourselves in the unspoiled beauty of the Balkan Mountains. The itinerary includes monasteries and medieval fortresses, alongside contemporary Serbian and Bulgarian villages and towns. A highlight of our tour will be visiting key prehistoric Goddess culture sites in Europe, if not the world, such as Magura Cave, the Lepenski Vir site from 11,000 years ago, the Vinča Settlement from 8,000 years ago, and more.
